About

raMy name is Rositsa. Thank you for visiting this blog!

My academic inquiries and professional engagements so far have focused on issues related to migrant and religious communities in Europe. As a Master’s student I specialised in Islamic Studies and went on to assist asylum-seekers in the field after completing my law degree. I work to address systematic deficiencies in protection and help disadvantaged communities gain access to rights in practice.

Migrations is an unfolding reflection on the relationship between legal and theoretical constructs and the complex dynamic on the ground. The texts are also a persistent attempt to render issues of social importance more accessible to a wider audience. I write about human rights, Islam and Islamophobia, asylum and migration, as well as the points at which these fields intersect.
